Team Managers

LBY has a number of parent team managers who support our players and coaches in a variety of ways on match days.

Youth Netball Organiser award

LBY are keen for our older girls at club to develop and broaden their personal skills not just in netball play but via officiating and coaching. Coaching is a great skill for building confidence in young players. We offer Year 10 and above members the opportunity to gain a England Netball YNO award at club which will put them in good stead for the Level 1 UKCC coaching award when they turn 16.

Officiating

Umpires are essential to our sport therefore LBY recognises the huge importance of the umpiring role within our club.  LBY currently offers aspiring umpires the opportunity to gain their IO award (Into Officiating) from the age of 13. We then continue to support them along the EN Umpiring Pathway.

Our Junior umpires are supported by an official EN umpiring mentor who visits them at training on a regular basis to observe, give feedback and support them on their pathway.  Umpiring (as with Coaching) is a skill that not only enhances a players knowledge of the game but also develops their communication and leadership skills whilst at the same time building confidence.
